Photographer Charles "Stretch" Ledford teaches photo journalism at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His professional photography work has taken him to more than 50 countries. His images have appeared in major advertising campaigns and in leading newspapers and magazines in the United States and Europe, including Time, Newsweek, The Washington Post Magazine and Der Spiegel. He has received awards from the National Press Photographers' Association, the New York Art Directors' Club and the Communication Arts Photography Annual. He has taught photography at the Art School of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia and has lectured extensively at universities and community organizations throughout the U.S. You can see his work at StretchPhotography.com.
